St Michael

The Greatest saint there is. St Michael The Archangel. He is the head of the army in heaven. The greatness this one saint has with two others are so powerful, we on earth can not uderstand it all.

St. Michael Trampling the Dragon   Saint Michael is one great Saint. St.Michael is known as the head of the army angels in the kingdom of God. Michael was never on the earth, in fact St.Michael, Gabriel and Saint Raphael  never lived on the earth, they were made to serve God in the heavenly kindom. God made them Saints to serve him,Jesus and Mary.

Saint michael is a well know Saint. The word/name "MICHAEL"  means "who is like God" The Holy Bible says St Michael and his angels fought against the seven headed dragon(satan) and his angels as war broke out in heaven over the blessed Virgin Mary's child. Satan was defeated and was thrown out of heaven and thrown to the earth.( Rev12.1-10)

St Michael is also said about in Jude vs 9 in the new testament. he is known to have fought the devil against moses body. In Saint Michaels battle he is not know to have said anything rude or bad just the things go told him. At the end of the battle he said to the devil " God Rebuke you" and that was the end.

St.Michael is known to be the angel in Joshua 5.13-15."Joshua  standing byJericho saw an man standing in front of him holding a sword" St.Michael is the patron saint of  policemen.
St.Michael is a very neat saint. As you may or may not know, there are 9 choirs of angels:Searaphin,Cherubim,Thrones,Dominions,Virtues,Powers,Principalities,Archangels, Angels.

St.Michael belongs to Searaphin choir.St Michael is also know as the heavenly prince and/or Princely Seraph.

Prayer to St Michael:

Saint Michael the Archangel defend us in battle Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil: May God rebuke him, we humbly pray: and do you, o prince of the heavenly host, By the power of God,thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

The Most Wonderful Time of The Year…

The most wonderful time of the year, as been destroyed by the tale of “Santa”. How distracted most kids are from the true meaning of Christmas because of Santa and his gift giving. I always like to see younger kids talk about Jesus being born around Christmas time rather that talking about Christmas. The world Young kids live in today is all in advertisement of “Santa clause”. Which I mean could be a good thing (they will act really nice so the are not on the naughty list. But anyways I  hate to see the true meaning  of Christmas ruined by Santa.

Santa comes from a long tale ago about a marvelous saint. St Nickolas. He was Such a generous man. He was truly indeed a man from God. St Nick was very generous, has I mentioned, he was so generous he made “gifts” for kids on  any day of the year. And then as centuries went by, the world made it on one day… Christmas Day…. The worst day possible  it ruins the meaning of Christmas. What is the route word it Christmas?
Christ.  So where does gifts come in? I don’t know, I am guessing from the wise men that brought Jesus the gifts of gold incense and myrrh.

St Nickolas… The greatest, generous, loving, caring you will ever meet.(if you were alive back then) Yes I might be upset about Santa clause, but I love the saint Nickolas. One thing that is for sure about him is that his family was wealthy(like St Francis) but, he didn’t like all this money. He noticed three girls (in separate families) who are poor and going in the wrong direction. So what he did, is on three separate occasions he would stop at there houses and drop off a bag of money. St Nicholas also, was said to have made gifts for young girls and boys, to make them happy. (because their families would have been poor)  for this reason he his often shown with bags * bags of gold*.

Nicholas was a bishop in Myra. This is where he did most of is teaching, but he moved out in the world and became quite popular…

Their isn’t a lot about St Nicholas that is “For Real” or that is confirmed real…. About this saint, but one thing we do know is by his charity, Santa was created, and love and peace, and charity ,by him sets us an example of how to live our lives.

The One Whom Doubts...

Today’s world is full of doubts, disbelieves, betrayals and lies….We all doubt about this and about that… But, when it comes to disbelieves and doubts in Jesus the almighty sun of god after his resurrection that goes to far. Like come on, you knew him for more than three years, you came to know him, he trusted you and you Doubt that he his risen… Come on. Some might think that Thomas was not one of his disciples!

Saint Thomas the doubter. He got his “doubter” title, by not believing in the resurrected Lord, God. “My Lord and my God” he says when he sees the risen lord, and puts his hands in Jesus’ side and hands. Why didn’t he believe? Well no one really knows why… Think, if you were a disciple of a Jesus back then, he dies… (You would probably be sad and not thinking straight) and then you hear that he risen and showed himself to the others! (Actually think about this. Don’t just think I’m nuts in righting this, or don’t jump to a conclusion.)  Would you believe? I think,I would of believed.

We all have times where we doubt the things we do, the things we see, and the news that someone lived/died. How do I know? Well we are only human and humans make mistakes…. God never made us perfect… He didn’t make his disciples, perfect, like Peter (the denier), Judas (the betrayer). How can we be perfect if his disciples weren’t? Most of the saints (that lived on the earth) lied, cheated, and were mostly from a poor family (only some because St Francis had a wealthy father).

St Thomas lived a good life, even though he did doubt the almighty lord, but we all make mistakes, Right? Wouldn’t life be boring if it was prefect all the time? We need these struggles to help us grow in the love of God the almighty father.

Humans made in God’s image and go down the right path are good … but humans that are made by God and go down the wrong path, God is there to bring you back to the right path…

Saint Francis of Assisi: The Brother of Nature...

Saint Francis of Assisi One loving, caring, great, human/ saint. Everyone knows the beautiful story of St Francis. The Beloved nature brother is known for his great prayer “Lord make me and instrument of your peace” What a wonderful prayer he made to thank god for creation.

You all know the story of how he loved animals, and cared for all creation; one thing you might not know is that he came from a wealthy family. He was a great kid, but he was just like you and me. He loved to party, loved to be with his friends and wanted to be strong in battle. Becoming a Franciscan never came to his mind while he was young, yes maybe one or twice in the blue moon, but not that whole often. His Wealthy father wanted him to become a business man, for indeed he was good at that, but didn’t want to be in business. He wanted to be strong and a head of an army. And so he did, he got his armor on, made an army and attacked Assisi strongest enemies.

God didn’t want this from Francis, so god spoke to him in a dream to return to Assisi (he was coming back from an the place where he was attacking)  Now Francis did become a Priest/ Franciscan and rebuilt a church that the bishop gave money and said “ let god lead you through this” and that’s what he did.

Francis would spend his time in the forest and  would make friends with the lions, bears, wolves, and many dangerous and friendly animals…. He would praise god for all that he did and all that god created. There is a story of a deadly wolf attacking the people of Assisi, because all the people were scared they ran. But one person didn’t… that was Francis, who made friends with the wolf and told him not to attack and to become friendly because gods with him….

Now, that’s a bit about St. Francis, but I want to  focus on the part were he became a priest. This past Sunday ( May 15, 2011) was the weekend for Vocations, and people would like to become a priest. God Called St. Francis and so God calls us(men)to become priests. But, with this big problem now in days with not enough priests, some parishes won’t have a priest. This means not many people are answering Gods call to become priest. This is very unfortunate, and I pray for those that do want to become priest and a dearly ask you to too.

Thank You,
God Bless.

The Mythical Saint

The Mythical saint is Saint Christopher. He is well know for travelling. Now How did He get know has the one to pray to for travelling? Well there is this legend   that this very large, large man (Christopher) was going to cross a high current river, and before he did cross he met this boy that asked to be carried to the other side of the river. So Christopher accepted the child’s request and got the child on his shoulders and started to walk across the river. While Christopher was crossing, he noticed that the child was very, very heavy. This child was Christ, the weight of Christ came for him carrying the whole world in is hands the whole time while crossing the river.( So for this reason many medals and pictures of St Christopher are seen with him and a child)

Back in the day,( Fifteenth Century) it was a whole lot easier that it is today to become a saint. Most of them that did become saints were based on there legends. Then when time came closer to today century (1969)  they took a deeper look at these Some saints like St Christopher, they were taken off of the liturgical calendar.

St Christopher still remains a saint to most people. But to the liturgical calendar/ church this saint is just a myth based on legends…. But you never do know, in 1969 the church looked into it and found no realistic Character in this saint, doesn’t mean this saint didn’t exist. We that live today will never know, else we lived in the Fifteenth century and still live today… ( which is  100% unlikely).

People still pray to this “saint” for help in travel, and in any trouble they may be experiencing. The world today could not know if St Christopher did ever live or if he did actually carry the Christ… we will never know… until  we go to heaven…

Pope John Paul II

Pope John Paul the second was born on May 18, 1920 and sadly died on April 2, 2005. As we may all know, this amazing pope was Beatified  on May 1, 2011. For most people to become saints takes years like Mother Teresa who died on September 5,  1997 but, For this lucky Pope he had one miracle  done in is name to make him Known has  "blessed". this pope just needs one more to become a Saint...

You may be asking " What is the miracle he did?"

There was a women (sister) who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2001. When His holiness died in 2005 the other sisters started to pray to Pope john paul the second for his intersession to come and heal the sister from her disease...  it was only in 2007 that the sister came out and told Rome this miracle....

For a miracle to be given by/ through a future saint it has to go through Rome and after a few years of looking into Rome will/will not, declare it if it is or isn't a miracle.... Rome has many people bring up miracles by people, but Most of them are not Scientific....

Pope John Paul is an excellent saint... I am thinking by 2015 he will be a saint... Who knows it could be earlier or later.  You never know... it's in Gods hands.

Science is nothing with out religion and religion is nothing without science"- Albert Einstein

"Have no fear of moving into the unknown. Simply step out fearlessly knowing that I am with you, therefore no harm can befall you; all is very, very well. Do this in complete faith and confidence."
-Pope John Paul the Second
