Happy All Saints Eve

Or other none as Halloween. This candy thing has taken such a powerful meaning away from such a great day. Don't you just love it when you think of what Halloween means in Society talk? Halloween- Small children go around to complete strangers houses, then the strangers give them candy.  Doesn't that sound safe? I have nothing against, because I like getting my caramilk chocolate bars, and my free slurpee passes on a bag of chips. (thats how the slurpee capital does it.)

This powerful days meaning has been lost, just like Christmas, and Santa Clause. No one really thinks about JESUS' BIRTH. Anyway, tomorrow let us not only give God thanks for the saints we know, but the saints that have made a difference in our life, before we were born! -Cough cough St Michael cough cough-

In the spirit of Halloween, this is the throwing up pumpkin I carved.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL!

our religious journey

From the time of birth to now,
has been one big leap on our religious journey.
To seek and to find, our gracious God.

The time as a baby with the words of our mother,
allowing us be baptized,
with the warm water wakes the sweet child,
to a raging scream with fear, for it has no understanding.

From the mystery waters of baptism,
leads to that day when God enters our body.
The day we receive the Lord God,
through the body and blood of Christ, the saviour.

With the Oil on our heads, as the sign of the cross,
we are welcomed fully into Gods family of life and peace.
This is not the end but beginning of our Faithful life on earth,
to live and serve God, to live how God wants us to live.

From the waters of baptism,
to the bread and wine, that gives us life,
to the holy Oil on our heads,
this is the beginning of our Religious life on earth!

Let us not end, but start, let us not die, but live the new Life for us!

Jesus' Teaching about hatred.

" If the world hates you, just remember that is has hated me first. If you belonged to his world, then the world would love you it's own."

If the world hates you, it hated me first. it sounds like a passage someone would have written of Jesus for the acts. If this life that we belong to, if this in animate, life, and the disheartening evil world hates you, It hated him first. Mostly because they did not want to believe. When Jesus tell us this, it speaks out as what he says is " Don't worry, I know what you go through" That's really the point Jesus is trying to get to us  to help us through those tough times. But then if we love and get attracted to the things of this world, that means we belong to this world and it loves us. But the father wants us to love him and his kingdom.

"Slaves are not greater than their masters"

If everyone in this world, believed in this and know this, Peace would be flowing like that water that's beside the green pasture that gives us rest. Their would be no more, suffering and death, Whipping and ruling. Most wars and countries fall apart because of masters and slaves. But really we are all the same, no one has more power than another. WE ARE ALL HUMAN.  We are all made from the dust of the ground. So how can I judge and force upon someone else the work and force, while I relax? It's just not right. we are all the same. Just because we all have different gifts, doesn't make someone more powerful than another person. Lets just join our gifts and accept people for who they are.

" If people persecute me, they will persecute you too; If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours too. But they will do all of this to you because you are mine; for they do not know the one who sent me."

The people who refuse to believe , the ones who need God the most, the ones who do not believe in Christ, they are the ones that will persecute us, only because we belong to Jesus and they refuse to believe and want to kill us. Those who do that, don't know that it is the one and only God that they have been waiting for  and know of but don't believe. But those who believe in Jesus while he was on earth, and obeyed his law and his love, they are the ones that will listen to our gospel teaching, and explanation of the Bible. But most kids now will get made fun of for obeying God. And are left to them selves praying and embracing there love for God. All they care about is God, and their Faith and nothing of what those hatred ones think.

Those who believe  in the Son are not judged;but those who do not believe already have been judged, because they have not believed in Gods only son.

ALL IT TAKES!

All it takes is our willingness to look at our day with the eyes of Faith

Today is Pope John Paul the II feast day

This is my first blog post.... Of Pope John Paul the second

Pope John Paul the second was born on May 18, 1920 and sadly died on April 2, 2005. As we may all know, this amazing pope was Beatified  on May 1, 2011. For most people to become saints takes years like Mother Teresa who died on September 5,  1997 but, For this lucky Pope he had one miracle  done in is name to make him Known has  "blessed". this pope just needs one more to become a Saint...

You may be asking " What is the miracle he did?"

There was a women (sister) who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2001. When His holiness died in 2005 the other sisters started to pray to Pope john paul the second for his intersession to come and heal the sister from her disease...  it was only in 2007 that the sister came out and told Rome this miracle....

For a miracle to be given by/ through a future saint it has to go through Rome and after a few years of looking into Rome will/will not, declare it if it is or isn't a miracle.... Rome has many people bring up miracles by people, but Most of them are not Scientific....

Pope John Paul is an excellent saint... I am thinking by 2015 he will be a saint... Who knows it could be earlier or later.  You never know... it's in Gods hands.

Science is nothing with out religion and religion is nothing without science"- Albert Einstein

"Have no fear of moving into the unknown. Simply step out fearlessly knowing that I am with you, therefore no harm can befall you; all is very, very well. Do this in complete faith and confidence."
-Pope John Paul the Second

Prayer for the Day

Father in heaven, you created everything, and everything is good.  When you sent us to earth you never did promise things to be easy. You said that we will have a challenge, you said we would have to work hard to do well with this life, so that we may come back to you in heaven. Through those hard times you send us through, through those bad days we have, help us through them, and help us to preach your word in those most stressful moments. Lord Help me today through the easy and hard through the stressful and calm, through the smart and the dumb have nothing to hard for me to handle come my way. Bless all who come in my view of sight today stranger or friend, Enimie or family  and keep them close to your heart.
Amen

Our words

Our words might not be those big ones that make those mountains or those rivers or the sun, But the words we do have are still very powerful. They can rebuild  like that or they can ruin someone's life just like that.

We have the words to  build a building or build someone's reputation. We also have the words to be evil and hate one another and to give someone a bad reputation. Our words are suppose to be good and to help others in our life. But some think other wise. Our words can preach the Gospel and build our religion.

So we might not be able to form mountains or make a tree grow in 1,2,3. But we do have the power to build our religion when it's down, we have the power of words to help others to do what is right.

Word

Our words might not create mountains and rivers,
But, they do have the power to rebuild or tear down.

Just the Way You Planned

Don't you love it when Things just go your way? Of course you do. Do you like it when everything  good after everything went bad? Of course you do that's Gods way of treating you after the tough times. But again don't you love it when everything goes according to plan? Yes I certainly do!

Just like today when I went to teach Catechism. I teach/ help the kindergarten class room. I was teaching today, and everything went right on schedule. Read the stories, Went through a booklet, and brought them into the church to re-in-act  a baptism with a doll. O they loved that part. What really is the best part is when they get interested, and start getting happy and smiley and paying attention. Then they get all the answers right, and go home even smarter. I made sure this was real, but still fun for the kids. They loved seeing the font, candle, cross, and alter. it was pretty neat for them to see, and pretty exciting for me to teach.

But it's those times when everything, just goes wrong, off schedule and just horrible. it's those times that make you sad, and wished that never happened. But it's not a matter of getting mad at it, it's a matter of looking "how can I make this better? " or " How could This been different?" We always look at the bad side in life, when we need to focus on those good moments and live them to the fullest. :)

Power of the cross

The Cross is one of the most powerful  things ever created. It is a sign, that shows we believe in Jesus Christ. It is not a "blin" it shows that we believe in God. i hate to see people who wear 5 different cross and other things all at the same time. Like firstly, it's not just an object, it shows faith. Secondly, you don't need 5 of them to show that.  Thirdly, it is not to be mixed with anything else, one cross and nothing else, respect the cross.

So as I was walking down the side walk  today, I saw what looked like a grumpy lady, in a bad mood and about to explode with anger. So from a distance I saw she was wearing a crucifix around here neck, so from that I took out mine and made it visible. Then, has much as I didn't want to pass by, she looked at my cross, stopped  smiled, and said "hi" Nice, Simply, and Happily. That made my day and made me realize the power of the cross.

For it was indeed the cross on which Jesus was hung. And it is by the cross we are saved. For it is on the cross Jesus shed is blood, it is on the cross that he was nailed too. For if we want to follow God We must pick up our cross and follow....

Where do you Find God?

The first class of the day today was the best one, Religion. :) Any day, that starts with religion is a good day. But in religion class we had to walk outside, around the field, and  find God. Most kids got nothing out of this, because they were talking, or not paying attention to this activity... But the important part, is where we find God. Today I found God in the warmth and comfort of the sun peaking out of the clouds, as it was still rising. The gentile breeze and the fresh Green grass. The comfort of the sun, the relaxation of the sun, just calmed me and made this a good day. For God indeed is always there like the sun that gives you light and warmth. Yes God is there in the silence of the day and night, but God is there is the creation, for God created it, for it was GOOOD!

Take off that make-up!

Do you ever find yourself "wearing make up?"  Do you ever find your self be cover up of what isn't you?
That "make up"that you are wearing makes you someone else other than you. That "make up" Can be your worst enemy.  You act different around one person then different to another person.

You have to take that make up off, and discover your real self, not to be anyone else, but yourself.  You cover yourself up cause your scared of what others are going to say, or think. But really there is only one person who really matters, who only cares how you spent your life.... God.... We have to take that make up off and be who we are, and present to God, ourselves, not someone else, but our selves.

God doesn't want to see your idol when he looks at you and meets you, he wants to see you, he wants to meet you. We have to wash off all of that make up to see God completely to see the face of God, to love and to know God.

Don't hide your faith, express your love for God, be that messenger to someone who needs to hear the voice of God, to hear the message. Ask St Gabriel to help you preach the good news and not to be covered up with make up.

Be Yourself

Prayer for the Day

God, you have written your holy message on my heart. Give me the grace and compassion, to spread that good news, to help those who are suffering the loss of your Good news. Help me preach your message the best I can, the best to my ability, and to help others find you in their daily lives. Write unto their hearts, your sacred message, bless them and keep them close to  your heart, We ask this through the creator of heaven and earth

AMEN
