September 29, 2011

The Most wonderful, delightful, and best day of the year! This day celebrates the best three saints created. St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St Raphael.  The day that I celebrate the most. I am all ways happy, excited, on this day, because I embrace the greatness of this day. These are the only named Archangels of seven.

As  You may or may not now, St Michael the Archangel  (the best saint ever) is the head of the army in heaven, He defeats Satan, and his army, and win for God, the greatness of joy, that goodness is stronger than evilness. Saint Michael, is mentioned multiple times through out the holy bible. The Holy Bible says St Michael and his angels fought against the seven headed dragon(satan) and his angels as war broke out in heaven over the blessed Virgin Mary's child. Satan was defeated and was thrown out of heaven and thrown to the earth.( Rev12.1-10)

St.Michael is known to be the angel in Joshua 5.13-15."Joshua  standing by Jericho saw an man standing in front of him holding a sword"

St Michael is  the patron of  grocers, mariners, paratroopers, police, and sickness.

St Michael is the best saint for many reasons. Firstly,  I share the same name with this magnificent saint. Secondly, The name Michael Means " Who is like God." Thirdly, St Michael is head of the army, defeated Satan  and stands at the gate of heaven. Fourthly, St Michael is a Great saints because, he shares the same feast day of two great other saints as well. ( as far as i can track, this was St Michaels original day, and Gabriel and Raphael got moved to the same day.) Finally, St Michael is one of the only three angels, mentioned in the bible. Therefore, St Michael is a great  saint.

Saint Michael the Archangel defend us in battle Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil: May God rebuke him, we humbly pray: and do you, o prince of the heavenly host, By the power of God,thrust into hell satan and all the evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen

Now the second, best saint ever ST. Gabriel.  St Gabriel Is the Messenger of God. The most famous story, is him bringing the holy message to Mary, that she will bear our saviour.  St Gabriel, the one who comes to bear the Great new to all of us, to give us the words of God. The glorious St Gabriel  Is  also a great one to hear the love and message that God has for each of us. St Gabriel means " Man of God" or "Messenger of God"

St Gabriel's first feast day was on March 21 from 1921-1968. Has you already know St Gabriel is the patron saint of communication workers.

St Gabriel is also a great saint, for many reasons. Firstly, he shares the name with many people in my family. Secondly, He brings the comfort and good new of God, to us humans on earth. Finally, St Gabriel is great because,  he is just really awesome. Therefore, St Gabriel, is a great saint.

O Blessed Archangel Gabriel, we beseech thee, do thou intercede for us at the throne of divine Mercy in our present necessities, that as thou didst announce to Mary the mystery of the Incarnation, so through thy prayers and patronage in heaven we may obtain the benefits of the same, and sing the praise of God forever in the land of the living.
Amen

Last but not least, The great St. Raphael. St  Raphael, the saints that helped  the young Tobias on his journeys. St. Raphael is the patron of travellers. He is know for is helping with Tobias. He helped  him to Media, and helped heal his father. St. Raphael is mostly seen with a fish, that fish tried to eat Tobias foot and St Raphael ordered not to let the fish go guts.

Saint Raphael is a Holy Saint. He is known for helping the young Tobias on his journey to Media. In the picture it is Raphael theit with Tobis explaining what to do with the fish that was trying to bite off Tobias' foot. "Cut the fish open"  the angel instructed "and take out it's gall blader, heart and liver. Keep these with you: they can be used for medicine, But throw away the guts"(←Tobit 6.4) Tobias did as the angel had told him.The he cooked the fish, ate part of it, and salted the rest to take along with him.The two continued on together until they were near Media. Then Tobias asked "My friend what diseases can be cured by this gall blader, liver and heart"? The angel answer, "The heart is and liver can be burned and used to chase away demon or an evil spirit that is tormenting someone. The attacks will stop immediatly, and the peson will never be troubled again. You can use the Gall blader to treat someone whose eyes are coverd with a whit film. Just rub it on his eyes and blow on the film, and he will see again" (←Tobit 6.5-8)

St Raphael is a great saints for many reasons. Firstly he is great because He helped and saved Tobias from getting eaten by a fish, and for healing Tobit's eyes. Secondly, he is great because, his name stand for "God Heals". Thirdly, he is a great saints because he is a saints to pray to while on your journey of faith, to help you through everyday troubles. Finally, he is awesome because that's how go made him :)
Therefore, St Raphael is a great saint

Glorious Archangel St. Raphael, great prince of the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners. I beg you, assist me in all my needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels. Because you are the "medicine of God," I humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities of my soul and the ills that afflict my body. I especially ask of you the favor (name your request) and the great grace of purity to prepare me to be the temple of the Holy Ghost.
Amen.

Money Vs God part 2

This song sums up on what I'm talking about, God, MUST COME BEFORE money..

Prayer for the Day

Jesus, thank you for calling me to be your disciple. When you challenge me to be more than I am,  help me to let go of all that holds me back. May I follow you in freedom until the day  we meet in heaven.

September 25, Gospel.

A man had two sons;  he went two the first so annd said, " son, go and work in the vineyard today." He answered, " I will not"; but later he changed his mind and went. The father went to the second son and said  the same thing he did to the first son; but the second son replied  " i am going, sir "but he did not go"  Jesus said to them " truly i tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are going into the kingdom of God ahead of you.

The father wanted  a Yes and to go and work right away. Both of them said, No, society always says, don't be afraid to say no. Well i tell you, be afraid be very afraid. God, wants us to say YES, YES, and YES. We are very scared to say YES because, we do not know, what's a head, what will this do in my future, And then we come to that quick conclusion of NO.This is indeed what the first Son was doing, He just didn't want to do work, because that what came to his head right away. But, then he thinks of it, and Goes and works.

They both sinned. The first son, sinned in a " not so bad" way the second son however, disappointed his father more that the first, because the second son, claimed Yes he would work, but never did. He cheated on his father.

luckily, Jesus lived for three full years, for the way he talks to the people back then, You who already say Yes, the Prostitutes and tax collector, the Pharisees, will get into the Kingdom of God before YOU! I'm surprised they didn't try to stone him right there and now.

This story can be summed up into on of my favourite lines, form when i was a small child " It will be easier for the rich and poor, the left out and the disheartened, to get into the kingdom of heaven because they are the people treated the worst .... sadly.

We all at one point or another climb those stairs up into the narrow gate, and  then to the Gates Of Heaven and see the choir of angles, and finally see, what we all want to see, The Face of God

P.S i wonder if Jesus liked wine, because he used wine as an example for his blood, he keeps talking about vineyards..... .... makes me think

Fall

See,
The multi-coloured leaves,
calm like a child sleeping at night.
Notice, the naked trees losing
there very last maple leaves before winter comes.

Hear,
The voice of God,
in the blistering of the wind.
Listen, to the crunching  leaves below your feet,
like biting into a chocolate chip cookie

Taste,
The fresh turkey roasted for hours,
with the sweet taste of honey cone.
Devour, The mashed potatoes, and
the light and fluffy stuffing, in your stomach.

Feel,
The rough pumpkins, getting ready for the oven,
to be roasted and chopped for the best pumpkin pie.
Touch, the crunchy, cold, leaves which fallen,
for there life has come to an end.

Smell,
The roasting turkey, baked at a low temperature,
to give that juicy flavour of  Thanksgiving turkey.
Sniff, the cold, crisp air,  gently scented by the crisp leaves,
like a perfume that lasts all day, and all night.

First day of Fall

Well has the hot, days are now numbered, they take the fun with them, they take the summer relaxing outside with it too. So this marks the official going back to school and staying there till June :(

But with Fall here, it brings many opportunities to do more fun things! Raking those crunch leaves to a pile, getting ready to jump in, and make a mess, making them rake it up, just to jump again.

As the leaves are just changing colour, and the turkey starts to roast, while stirring those mashed potatoes, we can look forward to the family time on thanksgiving.

God gives us this time to see the bountiful sight,  to give him thanks, and to calm any stress or worries we have to, make them go all away.

But, as quickly has Fall comes, Winter is around the corner, just to come and seek up with white fluffy stuff. Just thinking about the coldness of winter,  is making me  cold, and wanting to stay inside.

God gives us the best of food at this time, the fat turkeys, the perfect pumpkin to make great pie, Good apples to eat from the tree, and a bountiful harvest from summer garden!

May God the father of heaven and earth, bless you and keep you safe through this Fall, and to have mercy  and love, for giving us such a wonderful sight! May he keep you warm through the -29 coming our way, and to keep us safe through the winter times that await! Amen

The Power of Words

Power of words. The words of greatness or the words of evilness. Words can make or break  anything! Words can destroy a friendship or make one very simply. Words of Goodness can bring comfort and warmth to a person for a long time, but words of evil can bring darkness and hatred to a person for a longer time.

Evil words are easier said than the good, Easier words take though, unlike the evil disheartening words that the evil ones speaks. Evil words are those of Satan, those of bullies those full of hatred and evil. those who have "a heart of stone." Evil ones give temptation, the " pretenders" of good, but deep down are pure evil. But not to be left out, they can be saved by even a simple smile... sometimes it takes more but step by step they will grow good.

Once an evil word is spoken, or a hurtful lie, is said, it can not be taken back.... That one word can make a person live with sooo much trouble, so much pain. The pain will never be gone completely, the hole will always be there.

The good words are what keep us with god when we pray. Our connection with God is all in what we say, and in what we think and do. Our prayers to god is our connection to God. Words of evil is what separates us from God, but words of good and love, are the words that bring our connection back with God.God knows what we say  before we even think it, before we even say it from the tip of our tongue.  God loves us and wants that connection with us, but if we do evil and say evil things with our tongue there goes the connection.

May the father of heaven and earth, creator of life everlasting, and of thoughts and faith, be with us and help us only speak the words of goodness, and not the words of evil, and bring us to him with the holy spirit to work through us AMEN

Money, sports, or God

These times now are very depressing for me and many others.... (and no not because I'm back to school) One thing that rules this world, one thing that most of us want more and more of..... Money......

Money is that "god" for many people, who are to rich and only think for themselves. Money rules the world. Each country needs at least a billion to make the spectacular, in many governments eyes.... O no we are 2.2 million off from doing this or making that. I really believe that money gets wasted and get's thrown around in politics and rich people. Tossing it like a ball, that bounces right back up after the toss it down. To many people   worried they are $100,000 off from last month, or big amounts, and they do whatever they can to make it $100,000 more income next month. Yes i am too talking about those big corporations.

Now money can be a good thing least we forget, for those people who use money right and for the good things and help those that are needy and need help. We need money to live to buy food, house. ext. It's for those who use it badly.

But heaven forbid those people that are rich and have all the money send it away to other countries that are suffering badly, and people dying everyday.... In these countries, the ones with the money, will not  say they will give 5 million by them selves... They will only match what the people have collected. There are people suffering because they don't have what we here have.... Food, house, bed, games, computer, parents, school, t.v, clothes,  and help.(the list could go on forever) But again God forbid, that people send supplies to the needy countries.

It's not just in other countries look in your home town/city, and see who there is homeless and help them, there are people suffering there too. People that could use a hand, but don't get it. I haven't seen the government do anything here to help those who are on the streets homeless.

This is not the way God wanted us to live. He wants to be king, he has to be king, for he is king. God the one who made would not want us to see not to help others. If those people who are stopping supplies to go to other countries, and the rich and the huge corporations had there judgement day today, they would be  bagging for forgiveness, because they lived there life wrong.

May God the father of heaven and earth bless us all and keep us safe, and help those who are blocking supplies to go to needy countries, to let them send it, and to help those government leaders to do the best they can to please people and help the country.AMEN

Now one other huge thing that gets me upset, is that people chose sports than Mass. Sports is there God, Sports is there life. God forbid sports be moved to  the week days. Sports has become more popular than mass, but blessed are those who go to Mass.( nothing against sports)  But many people choose sports than the beloved God  who loves them so much. They can't even go and thank God for one hour, like  seriously it's one hour, big deal.... But what can we do, it's reality, and we can't change that.

Monthly Prayer to a Saint

O Glorious Saint Bartholomew, Jesus called you a person without guile and you saw in this word a sign that he was the Son of God and King of Israel. Obtain for us the grace to be ever guileless and innocent as doves. At the same time, help us to have your gift of faith to see the Divine hand in the events of daily life. May we discern the signs of the times that lead to Jesus on earth and will eventually unite us to him forever in heaven. Amen.
