So, it's summer. Time for all the seeds we planted to sprout, and to give us food. It's time that they come up for us to receive it's beautiful belongings. I know for sure this year my grandpa planted his garden.( as long as I've been a live, I don't thing he has never not planted his garden) Well, lets say that streak for me, well is over. I didn't plant anything this year. I'm not to sure why, but I haven't. My little box garden was flooded, in the spring. Actually it got flooded for a month and a bit the day after i planted seeds.

Of course it's quiet rare when a nutritional plant grows in such hot temperatures, such as in the desert or even in the hot days of Canada. The sun will even stop the sprouts. It sucks any juice right out of it, and kills the plant or seed. The sprouting is the 'most' important time of the growth of the plants. It's the time to see if we will get anything or not. Then we can plan of what to do next.
We are called to spread the good news. To preach it, every where. And to believe in it. Lets look at yesterdays first reading.
The Spirit entered into me and set me on my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.
3 And he said to me, “Son of man, I send you to the people of Israel, to nations of rebels, who have rebelled against me. They and their fathers have transgressed against me to this very day.
4 The descendants also are impudent and stubborn: I send you to them, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’
5 And whether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are a rebellious house) they will know that a prophet has been among them
Firstly we hear, that the prophet is sent by Jesus says I SEND YOU. He is giving the prophet a direct message. Now, he is not sending the prophet to a place that will be easy to preach the good news, but a nation of rebels and of people who rebelled against him. But during this time the prophet is filled with the holy spirit. And we know this from the first line, "The Spirit entered into me."

Then know that them AND their fathers transgressed against the Lord. Against the spirit. They were violating, by breaking the Law of the Lord. They were breaking his commandments, and hating the Lord. Their descendants were disrespectful to the Lord and they were stubborn in there ways. Obviously this land really need the help of a prophet. So then the Lord tells the prophet, I SEND YOU, TO THEM. Now directly speaking to the prophet, says that, and tells him to go. The Lord obviously had Faith in the prophet.
Thus Says the Lord God.
Whether they hear you or refuse you, THEY WILL KNOW that a Prophet is among them.By the words you speak, they will know. They will understand, that a prophet is with them. And even this, will go with them forever and may help the to change, to transform .
Then we find, in the gospel, the place where Jesus had the most trouble. In his own Home town of Nazareth. I'm not sure if there is anywhere else in the New testament, where it says,"And Jesus was amazed of their unbelief " Jesus said that. The Son of God. Isn't that just surprising. And you often hear to start off in your hometown to do anything. But obviously, this is another humanly struggle Jesus went through, to prove he is human and divine.
We find out in this Gospel reading that Jesus has brother and sisters. I was very confuse when I heard this line in the gospel. This is how my priest put it," There are two ways Scholars explain how Jesus had brothers and sisters, Firstly, back then when a man's wife died someone related to them (sister) would take the role of the wife and get married to the man. So the children would have been Josephs, from his previous marriage. That is why Joseph is often portrayed a lot older. And the second way is that the translation of Aramaic to English, could have gotten confused because 'cousin and brother' are the same word."
I though that made sense, so then my mind started thinking about a whole bunch of stuff. And then everything started to make sense.

We are all called to be a sprout in the desert. We are to go into dry nations where people rebel against the Lord and to sprout to them the Good news. Even though they may only realize that there is a sprout; a prophet among them, that's good enough. We have a mission to preach, and maybe starting in our home town may not be the best, but where ever we preach will bring glory to God.
