Vows.

If you can remember when you were in school, you can think of those times when you make a "vow" or promise with a friend. If it was a bet on a prize or if it was a promise to do things for others you most likely got each other and keeping there words by saying "Swear to God?" Then if you broke it everyone says "your going to h-e- double hockey stick!"

Nobody knows who is in the book of life and who's not. So there was really no point in saying "you're going to h-e-double hockey stick!" We  are not the ones to judge what, and where people will go.

Jesus wants us to keep our truth in any promise we make; God does... Why can't we? God promises anyone who believes in him eternal life. So if we promise something lets keep it.

"You have also heard the people were told in the past, 'Do not break your promise, but do what you have vowed to the Lord to do.' But now I tell you: do not use any oath when you make a promise . Do not swear by heaven, for it is Gods throne; nor by earth , for it is the resting place for his feet;nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great king. Do not even swear by your head, because you cannot make a single hair white or black. Just say Yes or No anything else you say comes from the evil one"
Matthew 5:33-38

Just say YES or No. When God speaks to us; and makes us a promise for our own life, we must try to accept it. For he promises eternal life at the end of this hard and cruel journey, but we should look forward to the Great things that will come at the end. God makes everyone there own promises, we must work to the very last minute of that promise. One simple thing God Says during the bumpy times he will give us a while rest-but not a long rest that we will become lazy at let other things in our way- just a perfect rest. Nothing is perfect-except for God- But we MUST try and be perfect like our heavenly father is perfect.

God first ever Promise was never to flood the earth; so he put a beautiful rainbow in the sky. Every time we see a rainbow we should think of the promise God gave us. For it should not only remind us of that one promise; but all promises God makes for us!

Our Father in heaven: may your holy name be honored; may your Kingdom come; may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need. Forgive us the wrongs we have done, as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us. Do not bring us to hard testing, but keep us safe from the Evil One.
Matthew 5: 9-13
