Another Monday

life of us and saints

Another Monday!  New Day; New Attitude; New Prayerful day. It might just seem as simple has that. Where that of course his my line of everyday.  Yes we rise to a new day of going back to work, or going back to school and just happen to find our selves slow and not wanting to indeed go to work or school.

But Every week holds it's own mysteries and life and secrets which we are bound to find out. To compare this line; New Day; New attitude; New Prayerful Day to Taking a shower is quite the same. We start off Fresh every Monday, and when you take a shower the dirt is cleansed away. The same thing. The pains of last week are washed away and we find our selves renewed like in Gods ways.

On Sunday we heard Jesus tell us to strive for the words of God and to eat them and to cherish them. So we must to start a New Week and a New prayerful one! This isn't easy when we are to concentrated on the world and what it is saying to us. so in Job it says:

You men are so clever; listen now to what i am saying. You know Good food when you taste it, but not wise words when you hear them.

Have a GOOD MONDAY!

feel free to let me know about your Monday!

Why Would He Do That?

In Today's gospel we hear the words of the devil trying to tempt  Jesus into following him and to serve him. But Jesus being much smarter puts the devil in his place and makes him so mad that he leaves. I'm going to focus on the one in Matthew. Matthew 4:1-11 to be exact.

1Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 Jesus said to him, “Get away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’
11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

Lets break this down shall we?

1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

This one verse opens and describes what is about to happen. It unfolds the beginning of Gods Plan. "He was led by the spirit" The spirit is the Love of God and the Son. So it was Gods will to see If he could withstand the devil him self.  We Need to remember that the Lord wasn't on his free will it was indeed the spirit that led him. Jesus was full of the spirit because he was just baptized and saw his father. We can also get Led by the spirit to get tested to see if we are strong enough and have enough Faith in God.

2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.

So Jesus is already teaching us about lent here. " Forty days and forty nights"  What do we do in Lent when we give up something? We Fast from that item.  But know we get into the concept that he was in the wilderness (any Dead Spot, No Life) For Forty days. Now it was most likely NOT FORTY DAYS. It really just resembles a long period of time. And well then of course of he was hungry after fasting for forty days. But not to starve him self, but to grow a deeper connection with God! Moses Had done the same thing while getting the ten commandants.
This is Deut 9 : 9,18
"When I went up on the mountain to receive the tablet of stone, the tablets of the covenant that the Lord had made with you, I stayed on the mountain for forty days and forty nights; I ate no bread and had no water."

Little down it says:

" Then once again I fell prostrate before the Lord for forty days and forty nights; I ate no Bread and drank no water, because of all the sin you had committed, doing what was evil in the Lords sight and so provoking him to anger."

Fasting ( For Jews) was a resemblance of sorrow for his/her sins. And in Moses case he did it to God for the sins of the people. People were doing everything exactly what he had told them not to. Worshiping there own gold calf and doing other things. In this Case Jesus was doing it for the people; To reflect on his life and to reflect on the lives of those who are there and had gone before him.

3The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

The tempter was smart. Testing Jesus to Eat and break his connection. The Devil Knew how hungry he was And so he tested away. Hes trying to trick Jesus in Many ways with this one Temptation. As I said in the first line it is to break the connection of prayer and fasting of God and himself Jesus. He Also tempted with this to come and join the devil. To feed him and not God.

4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’

Jesus is strictly telling us that we must live on the Word of God. And to live by the example of the Word. Not to live on bread that fill you up for a while, but words of life; his bread that will fill you up forever if you believe.  God does not use worthless and hurtful words, but the Words of God are sweeter than honey and stronger than Gold.

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:“‘He will command his angels concerning you,  and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”

And So the devil being the devil is trying not to test Jesus in breaking his fasting, but is testing God!  The devil takes him to the tallest temple in Jerusalem and tells him to throw him self down. Well there is two things wrong with that. A) Only a crazy person like the devil would do that and B) You could not do worst in testing God. But The devil really wanting Gods only Son to follow him will do anything to get him on his side.... but never really works.

7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’

Jesus Proving the devil wrong with his own words of bringing the words that are written up. Do you think the devil will stop there? No. Because he will do everything he can to make sure that He breaks the chain of that forty days.  But we see here that the devil has broken one of the laws. But then we also see that the devil couldn't care less.

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

The Devil now taking Jesus to the highest mountain, trying to show him all the kingdoms that he him self owns. God (Jesus) did not care for the World anyways, because it is full of evil and dis-heart. That is why Jesus came in the first place his to fix all this evil. Like Jesus said  " All the things of this world will not last ; But my word will last forever"  Jesus Know thinking the devil is crazy for telling him to bow down to him, comes with a firm attack back.

10 Jesus said to him, “ Get away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only!’

Jesus now bringing back the of what is written against the devil again. Jesus now filled with the spirit Shoos the devil away.Jesus didn't speak him self, he let God work with in him and let these answers spill out. Jesus not wanting any more tells him to turn back to God and to serve HIM ONLY. After the devil hears this he gives up and goes because he sees that God is strongly planted with in Jesus.  We Hear this line mostly to the Israelite's when they worship there own gods. They Must turn to God. And that is why I believe God send Moses to  them. To make them turn to God before they reach the Holy Land. The place of milk and honey.

Whats new?

There really isn't nothing. Turn the news on in the morning as your enjoying your breakfast and coffee, and the first thing I see is the 2 murders that happened over night. And then you hear the break and enters. Then you here about guns that were fired over the night as well. And that police are looking for a suspect that abused many people.

Is this really the sad reality of today? Is this what God had planned for us now? is this what God wanted? Is there ways that could have prevented this from happening? Why is there a murder and guns shots and abusers out there at night breaking into homes? Why would they even on earth think about doing that? Why? is this what God really wanted?

Of course not! Would God really want another one of is magnificent creatures be shot or murdered or abused? that is like breaking a Item you made that took 10 Days to make. Why? Why would you break something that took 10 days to make? Well You wouldn't! You would treasure it for the rest of your lives. So why are they out there the ones who are ruled by the devil? They lost their faith and turned to the other garden....

This says something about today!

42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' 44 "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' 45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.' 46 "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
Matthew 25: 42-46

40 "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.

Pause and think about that line. Whatever we do for others we do for God. God is in us and is working for us and helps us in our lives. He is the one that we do our work for. When we judge that person on the side of the road we are judging God. When we get mad at out brother or sister we get mad at God. When we are rude to another person we are rude to God. I think you get the point. But when we do Good to another person and proclaim the Gospel with Love and wisdom God notices that and shows us his grace. Why? Because he is and awesome God.

And These are for the evil doers who need to change there ways. We HAVE TO CHANGE THIS! We have to find a way that murders and robberies and Break inns. Because there is an end to everything and hopefully they will have figured that out in my life time. I don't think God mad anything with out a start and an end date. We all have one, everything as one. Where there will be peace on earth at last and all divisions between poor and rich, strong and lame, Power and weak, life and death will be gone.  Is this possible YES OF COURSE! but it will take time for us to get around it. We Are the future to stop this and to MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE TO BE!

WE CAN MAKE THIS WORLD BETTER! WE CAN! WITH THE THREE THINGS THAT GOD ASKS OF US!

Prayer                  Father
Alms giving           Son
Fasting                Holy Spirit

This might not seem like much, but by the power of Prayer things CAN GET DONE. FOR GOD NEVER REJECTS A PRAYER! Alms Giving. Giving to the Poor or our church which will also help others to make this world a better place. Fasting. To Open our eyes and to stop the judging and to realize that the hunger we go through is what some people have to go through everyday!

Lent! Part 2

As we come closer and closer to Lent on Sunday, I realize that I need to give something up and still prepare my self. I've been getting to caught up in all sorts of things I still need to prepare. This year my Family is trying our hardest to not eat meet on those special days, to fast on Good Friday, and Holy Saturday.

Just thinking a bit  about this know i think i might know what i might give up and how i can strengthen my relationship with God:

  • I'm going to give up candy, chocolate and stuff on those lines

  • I'm going to give up my time on the computer, and give my time to  :
                                    A) Going to the presentations they have at churches
                                    B) Read as much as the bible I can during Lent to really strengthen my relationship
                                    C) To Give it to Family
  • I'm going to try and follow the Ten commandments more.

This year i want to really grow from this lent. i want to really make a deeper connection with God. I will be happier and healthier. I Want to live fully in Gods hands. For he should rule my life and so i am letting him in fully and blocking anything that says no.

So i have to ask what are you doing this lent to strengthen your relationship with God?

Another week it among us. Holding secrets that may answer some of our deepest questions. Today is the day that we are now to start and reflect about the time of Lent and the mysteries it holds. For on Wednesday we are marked with ashes as a sign of dignity and Love of Gods family. We are to live now and foreword what we have promised to either give up or do less of. We must continue and make a plan of how to stop or use less in our lives. Our lives will become stronger and healthier every lent if we keep up the Good habits and have them destroy our Bad ones. We live our lives. according to thy word of the Lord Jesus Christ of who takes away everything bad when he is crucified and resurrected. HE IS STRONGER THAN DEATH!

This time may the lord take away our hearts of stone and sin. And Plant the new seeds of Life ever lasting that will last forever in our hearts as long as we follow Gods word forever.

Surroundings

The house is burning. For it is burning bad, but we only see what we want. We do not see that our own house is on fire. We only see the things that belong to the rest of the picture; whats normal, not whats different from the normal. Are we to trapped in reality? Are we truly seeing what God wants us to see? Are these the eyes God gave us to see? Are we only looking at our own part of the house and not of whats on fire?

Look at all this technology that comes out! IPod touch, I Phone, IPad, and other things making society different. Soon enough we will be in the times where robots rule and we will become lazy as the robots do all the work like those in the movies. Then they turn on us and destroy us all. O Look a new I Pad gotta have it! O new Phone: gotta have it. O New MP3: Gotta have it. O Look at the robot: gotta have it. Look how caught up we get in society, and not seeing what God wants us to see.

Now you can get all sorts of things. Soon enough there will nothing called a Book. They will all be computerized and they will be gone from society. Whatever happened to sitting down and reading a Good book? O yeah it turned into sitting down pressing a button and having it read to you.

Human nature just brings us to the part where we get caught up with all this technology and the house is on fire. God is trying to call us, to send us a message. No not through some smart phone 4 or anything but through Prayer. Through prayer we can stay connected to God and what he wants our eyes to see.

2 Kings 6:17
"And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha."

Matthew 6:22-23
"The light of the body is the eye: if therefore the eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if the eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in the darkness, how great is that darkness!"
