Beyond...

On your marks get set....

GO!

Above and beyond. That's what we all wish to be. We all wished to go that extra mile... One time in our life for sure.  We all wanted to be that one who healed twenty people and preached about God so perfectly and helped many people. Yes, that's nice to be recognized for it all, but what if we look beyond these and think of our above and beyond moments.

It doesn't take a super human to do all this stuff. God gives use each and every day new powers, new visions, new plans for us to live. And sometimes that power might be beyond what we can handle, but he still gives it to us any ways. We have to look beyond our ways, to see the great things our next door neightbour has done. We have to look beyond the seperation of religion and culture to see the above and beyond things of people in different countries and of other religions.

Imagine your self in front of a lake, a pond or a stream. And look into the water. What do you see? the fluffy clouds, the blue sky, the bright light reflecting off the water. You will also see the dark dirt of the mud below and you may see other garbage. We ll have our pond, our water. And each and everyday we are given a fresh look at. God, looks beyond the dirt, and beyond the sky , to look at you. To look at your reflection.

Stop!

How can Jesus hear all our prayers?

At, the bible camp at my church: Day 2 I was asked a mysterious question. I had just finished telling all the kids to pray ( in adoration) and to worship God. And one girl started to speak and I told her to ask me after adoration.

 The question was:
" How can God hear all our prayers at the same time?"

Had to stop and think about this. It caught me off guard. I never heard someone ask a question like this. But, I wasn't surprised. With my years working with young children  I know they are very mysterious and questionable about our Faith. I know I was. I remember going to Grade 3 wondering how God was made.

Anyways back to the question. My answer for it was first, " Well God cares for everyone, and he loves everyone and listens to everyone." I continued, " Does your Mommy and Daddy listen to you? Yes? Well think of that like God listening to you. Because we are one big Family, and God makes time for all of us." Then I did an example. I talked to her and I talked to another girl at the same time. And we both had a conversation. Then the girl that asked the question understood it.

I've been trying to focus and concentrate on how important prayer is with the kids. Yes, the theme is on the Mass. But the Mass is one big prayer. We start with the sign of the cross and we end with the sign of the cross. I try to tell them, that God is there best friend and that they can tell God anything. Anything. God is always there and he listens to us all when ever we need to talk.

God loves us all, and he cares for us. He would not let us astray. We are all called to live the life Jesus wants us to. Our prayers will not be forgotten. And Our life is in Good hands. The hands of Jesus.

Bible Camp.

This week, at my parish is a Cat.Chat bible Camp. It's one week. And it runs from 9:30-3:30. It should be a lot of fun.

Now, I will be one of the leaders in charge of one the stations. (Faith station)  So whats on my plate? Well 16 kids, that range from ages 6-12. Yikes! What a range of kids! majority of kids are in grade 2. (have I mentioned yet, that i'm not teaching kindergarten at Catechism.... I've been upgraded to Grade 2 :) I'm looking forward to it )   Anyways, Each day we have a new theme, and virtue. And it says that we  ( as leaders) should also try to follow these. So this camp won't just be learning for the kids, but a good teaching for me.

Tomorrow, starts the first day of the camp! And I'm taking them on a tour of the church. I'm excited. This camp is about the mystery about the mass. It is very unique. But, this tour includes the four parts of the church: Nave, Narthex, Sacristy and Sanctuary. It should go well. I didn't like the one that their book gave me so I decided to make my own.It did say change to what works for you... So I did....

This camp, will be FUN, and exciting and a learning experience. Not just for the kids, but for me to. You always learn a lot more, when you teach. I am looking forward to what, I will learn more about this mystery.

I will be taking them on tours, and taking them for adoration and asking them for more and more questions. With games and SAINTS to be played and taught about. There is a saints for everyday. And ironically enough, St.Michael was one of them: and yes it will be hard for me not to go into detail with such young kids.... Stick to the book.... Just stick to the book.

Well I will take this time now to say sorry if I don't post many post from now to august 1. I will be busy with this, and packing because I am going on vacation my self. But don't worry A Chapter explained the Four gospels will go on!

Happy blogging :)

Five minute Friday- When God says Enough

I haven't done this for a while, But for a refresher, here's the rules:

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

And GO!

Enough. How many times do you hear that in a day? A few times, A lot, or not at all? WE can often loose track of the world and go into the wrong road.  The road of violence, and hurting others, the road God doesn't want you to take. And well God doesn't like it.

God does let us time on this path. Why? To show us that we need him for our journey and we can't do anything without him. Jesus, lives in all of us; and wants the best. So for the best of us, he will make go on the other path to see  how it feels and show us how we need him, forever.

Then, when time comes, Jesus says enough's enough. And he puts his foot down, and brings us to the other side. His side. And then we journey upon his road and become better. We go down his road everyday. But the thing is, he doesn't make his road easy. Nope not one bit. It's hard with curves and bends and menders. But we can get through it, with the grace  of God.

You can surely feel it when God says enough! because we change and are filled with the holy spirit. God comes to us often, to make sure we are fine. We are his children, and when he needs to he says enough!

STOP!

Skittles.

PhotoYes, the sweet little bite size candies. The sugar candies of which can can be covered in sugar. Did you know? Skittles competition was mnm's. So what do they do? They steal  the recipe for MNM's, But they steal the wrong recipe, and the 'MNM's" turn into a chewy candy. I LOVE skittles.

These sweet little bite size candies are just the best in any situation. I can have them for breakfast lunch and dinner. I love skittles. I was asked earlier this month," if I was on a desert island and i could only have one thing what would it be? Skittles, Root beer or fettuccine Alfredo? ( I love all of these) and of course I choose skittles.

Just as much as we ( I ) need skittles we, (I) need God just as much. God is there all the time. Especially when i'm eating my second or even third pack of skittles a week. God is like that pack of skittles. He is the one we need maybe three or four times a week: never mind,  all the time.

God is the sweetest, thing in our life. A little bit of him can fill our hunger for Good.

35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

John 6: 35

Jesus is the bread of Life. He is, that skittle that we need. But he will live in us and with us forever. We must go to Jesus everyday to receive his bread. Not necessarily going to mass but by talking to Jesus and asking for our daily bread and asking for help.  Jesus is the one we need to continue our path, our journey,  by the bread and by his drink.

May Jesus be like that skittle that we eat everyday. May he be our life and our hope. May he be that little sweet candy we need in every situation :D

In our Hearts and Our minds.

"This is covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds"
Hebrews 10: 16

We are all on this path. This path is curvy, has sharp turns, it has a straight path with stumbling blocks; Like Satan was to Jesus when Jesus was talking to his disciples about his death. And this path has rocky roads and a short time of smooth and straight. We never go on this path on our own. We never have, it's been Jesus who guides us all the time. And it's our choice to listen to him or not to listen to him.

Now, Jesus knows  us. He doesn't just put them in our hearts but writes them on our minds. Why? Well of course in our hearts, where he dwells within us, but he doesn't just put them in our minds he writes them. We will most often use our head before our heart.  So  then what would be the point of putting it in out hearts. And because Jesus wants us to be the best we can, and to live according to his will he writes them in our mind. So we can use our mind, and know what his best for him and others.
Of course, there are many laws in the bible. But the very first Laws come from Exodus. The ten commandments. And these Laws will therefore not be forgotten when they are written in  our minds. Jesus does the best for us because he loves us. He wants us to follow his laws, for his sake.

We need Jesus on our journey to guide us. Not to always be our emergency, but to guide us each and every new day on this path. Through the easy moment, through the curvy moment. We Need Jesus.

Jesus, (the light) came into the world to show us how to live. We are the darkness. And it was and his our choice to listen to the light. Jesus came into the darkness. And the darkness does not understand, because they do their evil acts because that's what they do. Only when the curtain in the temple fell is when the darkness, turned into light.

Jesus provides us light for our journey because we are to walk by faith and not by sight. Jesus is are true guide. It's if we accept him as our light and our guide. He has written his laws in our minds and put them in our hearts. We will follow You Jesus.

"The Light shines in the darkness, But the darkness does not understand"
John 1:5

Where do you find God?

I have often written about me at the park, watching the water go by, and the ducks quack, and the trees and nature. This is where I find God. It's close to my house. And it's peaceful. But the neighbor hood isn't the best.... it's kinda scary...

Photo: WRITE "Amen" IF TRUE! Download a free Bible today at www.Bible360.com.I also find God through the scriptures. When I read it I feel God. In all ways possible. God is always there. And he guides me to read and tells me where to look when ever.

Where do you find God?

I Have heard.... And I will answer

God was paying close attention to me last night and this morning. My findings this morning just made that for sure. God, leads you to different ways. In different things. Only for the best of us. Even though some may be really hard and some really easy and some may feel like a coincidence.

I have been stuck, on trying to come up with new post. I needed some inspiration. Last night (as I couldn't fall asleep) I was thinking about one thing. That God would help me get some inspiration. Something new. Something, Anything. Then I prayed, and I felt something wasn't right.

I woke up this morning as usual- a little earlier- but I did. And I was still asking God, to help me find something new, an inspiration. Something in me knew that it would be a matter of time I just had to ask, and it will be given.

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;knock and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

Matthew 7:7-8

So this morning I opened the page o write a blog post. It stayed open for  at least half n' hour. Then I felt that I needed to read the New testament. No not the gospels. But the letters and other books. So I go to Revelation, just to see if an answer  I was looking for was there of a question I had yesterday.

Anyways, I all of sudden turn to a page in Hebrews. And the First thing my eyes lay on are the words of Hebrews 7:20.

"The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: You are a priest for ever"

Then my  eyes scroll up the page and it says:

"You are a Priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek"

Just what I needed. And I turn to God and I simply said, "Thank you." This picked me up, and put me back on track. I will now remember this line forever. And I will allow nothing of me or another to make me forget it.

Some people might be thinking right now, " Why is this so important?" Well this is important to me because I want to become a priest. I will tell you, my story.

When I was in Grade 1, ( I remember this day so clearly) We were talking about what we wanted to be when we grew up. And then the teacher called on me, and I said, " A Garbage man" (As a Garbage man came right past my classroom window) EVERYONE in my class laughed. I did giggle to. Then we got a craft to do, and that was what my table was talking about. What we want to do. I still stuck to what I said. When I went to bed that night, i fell a sleep so quickly, and I had a vision. A Vision, of Jesus telling my to become a priest. ( I had been always interested in what the priest does ever since I was in kindergarten.) And ever since then I have wanted to become a priest. In 4-5 years I can start my training.

But looking now, I understand more. I -think- I have figured it out. That Jesus wants me to become a priest because I will be one of the last few. ( at least where I live) and it could be my mission to spread the calling. To teach about serving God, in vocations. It has been tough already.( and will get tougher) With people wondering why would I become a priest. But I don't look on that. I look on all the support I have. From my family, from my church community, my teachers and the priests I know.

The Lord sworn to me, that I will become a priest. And he keeps his promise and does not change it. I will be a priest for ever. I will be long to the order of Melchizedek. And The Lord called to me. And I have answered. I did not harden my heart when I heard is word.

We are all called to serve God in a special way. We all have something we can give to God, in service or in another way. We are called to be a disciple. And to give something to God. We all take a part in his plan. And Jesus send his visions to all of us. Some early and others later.

Today, I had to seek, in the bible for the reading; I had to ask God to help me; and I had to knock at Gods door a bit. I am Called. And So are you. PRAYING HELPS. If you have Dream, a Calling, don't let others tell you it's impossible or you can't do it. Do it, and prove them wrong. Fulfill Gods Plan!
